I grew up in a Christian environment my whole life. My parents even became ministers when I was eight. I accepted Christ as my Savior around the age of ten at a summer camp. With my dad in the navy and then The Salvation Army, I've moved around a lot.
It is difficult to pack up and move every two to three years without it affecting a person both socially and spiritually. But I am delighted to tell you that Jesus has been with me through it all. He has placed me in His harbor to weather out the storms of life. Jesus has given me many talents, and I praise Him for them (And I pray that they may be used for His glory).
The Lord has given me a wonderful family and many wonderful friends on whom I can depend. Whether they are available or absent, Jesus is always there. Because I am now separated from my family for many months at a time, the Lord has given me the strength to endure the separation.
Jesus has also sent me to a fine school for my education, and has led me to meet many Christian friends. Through the BSU (Baptist Student Union), the Lord has given me a place to have fellowship with my friends. Through these friends, He has allowed me to have a check on my Christian lifestyle.
It is easy to be a talker and not a doer of the Word. Christ has recently shown this to me in my own life. He is helping me truly live my faith and not just speak it. Despite my faltering, God has been with me. He has also revealed to me the blessing that He has bestowed on me. I used to take these blessings for granted, but now I thank Him for all He has done for me.
PRAISE BE TO MIGHTY GOD WHO IS THE CREATOR AND PRESERVER OF ALL THINGS!
I pray that you would thank the Lord for all He has done for you, and give Him all the praise and glory. For without Him, we can do nothing.
